JAKARTA, Head of Public Relations of West Kalimantan Regional Police Assistant Commissioner of (Pol) Nowo Winarti stated there were 100 female police officer (policewoman) in West Kalimantan Police environments that use the veil.
"From about 400 policewomen in West Kalimantan Police environment, there are as many as 100 policewomen who wear veils, after we received the official letter from the Police Headquarters regarding the use of the hijab for policewomen," said Nowo Winarti when contacted in London on Sunday.
